Sascha Grammel

Sascha Grammel (born 19 February 1974 in West Berlin) is a German comedian, puppeteer and ventriloquist. He developed his own "Puppet-Comedy", blending comedy, ventriloquism, puppetry and magic with a style marked by self-irony and wordplay. His best-known characters include the cross-eyed eagle-pheasant Frederic Freiherr von Furchensumpf and the shy turtle Josie. He has been touring the German-speaking world with numerous solo shows since 1997. In 2011 he received the Deutscher Comedypreis as best newcomer.
