StadtRand are a six-piece band from the Cologne area who have been playing rock and pop in Kölsch dialect since the beginning of 2014. "Orjenal" carried Roman, Tim, Tommy, Christoph, Peter and Marco onto the stages of the Rhineland carnival season in 2018, though the band sums up its own position plainly: carnival means Kölsch, but Kölsch does not only mean carnival. Songs such as "Ahle Kess", "Alles för die Liebe", "En kölsches Leed" and most recently "Köln is cool" have followed, alongside the releases "Fründschaff" (2019) and "Kapitel Eins" (2023). On 19 September 2026 they headline their own show at the E-Werk in Cologne.
