Suzi Quatro (born 1950 in Detroit) is an American rock singer, bass guitarist, songwriter, and actress. In the 1970s she scored a string of hit singles across Europe and Australia, with "Can the Can" (1973) and "Devil Gate Drive" (1974) both reaching number one in several countries. As one of the first women to front a rock band as a bass-playing leader, she is widely regarded as a trailblazer for later female rock musicians. More than five decades into her career, she continues to record and tour, including regular shows in Germany.
