Thomas Blug, born in Saarbrücken in 1966, is a German guitarist, composer and guitar amplifier designer. In 1997 the German Rock Musicians' Association named him "Best German Rock-Pop Guitarist", and in 2004 he won the Europe-wide "Stratking of Europe" contest in England, held for the Fender Stratocaster's 50th anniversary. Besides his solo albums, he has released records with the Thomas Blug Band and with Dreist. With his "Rockanarchie" project he reinterprets rock classics in the spirit of bands such as Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple and Jimi Hendrix.
