Werner Koczwara is a German cabaret artist, born on 28 September 1957. He is regarded as the originator of legal cabaret and builds his programmes around statutes and legal language. His best-known programme, “Am achten Tag schuf Gott den Rechtsanwalt”, has according to his official site been performed more than 1,200 times for over 250,000 spectators. His repertoire also includes the Swabian programmes “Sternhagelschwäbisch” and “The Bänd in the Länd” as well as “Mein Schaden hat kein Gehirn genommen”, a show about brain research and humour. He also works as a book author.
