About

Maren Kroymann, born in Walsrode in 1949 and raised in Tübingen, is a German actress, cabaret performer, satirist and singer. Her first stage programme, Auf du und du mit dem Stöckelschuh (1982), took apart post-war German schlager and the image of women inside it. She reached a wide audience in 1988 opposite Robert Atzorn in the television series Oh Gott, Herr Pfarrer, and from 1993 to 1997 she fronted her own satirical show, Nachtschwester Kroymann. Her sketch series Kroymann has run on ARD since 2017 and has won the Grimme-Preis several times, most recently in 2025; the Grimme honorary award followed in 2023 and the Federal Cross of Merit in 2024. In her current show In My Sixties she sings 1960s pop with a live band and traces how those records shaped her own youth.
