Murzarella is the stage name of Sabine Murza, a German-language singer, ventriloquist and comedienne born in Gelsenkirchen-Erle. Before turning to ventriloquism in 2017, she performed in musicals such as Evita, Jesus Christ Superstar and Little Shop of Horrors, and she also works as a voice actress and singing teacher. Her act combines belly singing with ventriloquism, bringing to life puppet characters such as a heavy-metal-singing canal rat, a cheeky cockatoo and an opera-singing accountant, all voiced live. She tours with programmes like Bauchgesaenge und anderer Unfug and has appeared on German television shows including Immer wieder sonntags. Since 2017 she has won numerous German cabaret and comedy awards, including the Baden-Wuerttemberg Cabaret Prize in 2024.
