Nino de Angelo, born Domenico Gerhard Gorgoglione in Karlsruhe in 1963, is a German singer of Italian descent. He rose to fame in 1983 with the number-one hit "Jenseits von Eden", which established him as one of the best-known pop and Schlager stars of the 1980s. After a turbulent career, he made a widely acclaimed comeback in 2021 with the chart-topping album "Gesegnet und verflucht". De Angelo remains one of the defining voices of German Schlager and performs regularly at live shows across Germany.
