Matthias Reim, born November 26, 1957 in Korbach, Germany, is a German Schlager and pop singer. He had his breakthrough in 1990 with the single "Verdammt, ich lieb' dich," which topped the German charts for 16 consecutive weeks and also reached number one in Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Switzerland. The song earned him a World Music Award in 1991 as Germany's best-selling recording artist. After years away from the top of the charts, he made a widely noted comeback in 2013 with the album "Unendlich," which returned him to number one on the German album charts. His most recent albums are "Zeppelin" (2024) and "Flashback" (2026), and in 2026 he set out on a tour marking 35 years of "Verdammt, ich lieb' dich."
