Vanessa Mai (born Vanessa Marija Mandekić on 2 May 1992 in Backnang) is a German Schlager singer. She first rose to prominence as the frontwoman of the band Wolkenfrei from 2012 to 2015, then launched a successful solo career. Her albums "Regenbogen" (2017) and "Schlager" (2018) both reached number one on the German album charts. Beyond music, she became widely known through television, finishing second on "Let's Dance" in 2017 and winning "Schlag den Star" in 2019.
